Last week when the bus wasnt running due to the G8, my friends got to miss school so we had dinner and a sleepover. It was amazing for so many reasons but one of them was our dinner. The girls picked out some of my finished pots from the gallery and brought them up to the house to use in our dinner. Look at all the yummy & healthy food they made!
![]() WOW! I just came back from a week away in Colorado & New Mexico with my wildly amazing friend. Saw her graduate in Boulder, Colorado from the Culinary School of the Rockies and got to taste amazing treats made by the graduating class. Cruised from Boulder down to Santa Fe & Taos and back up again to Boulder. I feel I only got a wee taste of it but I'll share what I did get to see. Below is a list of each clay place I visited & where it's located and if you want to find out more info & photos....just click on you're interest and the world wide web will take you there. Three cheers for travel, the freedom of the roadtrip & the all the amazingly helpful people along the way. The Pottery Lab - Boulder, CO Craft Centre Pottery Studio - Boulder, CO Santa Fe Clay - Santa Fe, New Mexico Owl Peak Pottery - La Medera, New Mexico Enchanted Circle Pottery - Taos, New Mexico ![]() Wednesday June 9th was a great evening at the Loft Gallery in Dorset. Painter, Elizabeth Johnson and I (Tara) were the featured artist of the evening and both gave small chats on our practice/inspiration/outlook. I was surprised and excited by the turn out of people. It was especially wonderful to meet some other potters in the area. These events are really great for networking with like minded people and drawing them out of the woodwork. Chad Ingram from the Minden Times was there as well and captured nicely in his article Perspectives on potting and painting some of the things discussed at the event. Great support from the Arts Council of Haliburton Highlands and ACDC |
